This privacy policy describes how we handle your personal information in connection with the web sites www.scientificlearning.com and www.brainconnection.com (the "Sites"). Both of the Sites are operated by Scientific Learning Corporation ("SLC"). If you visit or purchase items from this website, you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully.
Collection
You can browse the Sites without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. Once you give us your personal information, you are not anonymous to us. If you choose to provide us with personal information, you consent to the transfer and storage of that information to our servers located in the United States.
We may collect and store the following personal information:
- name, email address, physical contact information and (if you make a purchase) your credit or debit card number;
- name and physical contact information of your company, school or similar entity;
- information about your activities on the Site (such as information you have requested, or products or services you have purchased);
- shipping, billing and other information you provide when purchasing an item:
- information about your participation in on-line courses and exercises, including course name, scores, and pages visited;
- identification numbers that we have issued to you or your entity (such as your Org ID, Site ID or CN);
- information that you provide about your use of SLc products or services in connection with obtaining customer, technical or instructional support;
- any information that you submit to a chat room;
- your responses to on-line surveys and any demographic information that you may provide in connection with a survey
- correspondence sent to us; and
- statistics on page views, traffic to and from the Site, and other information, including IP address and standard web log information.
Marketing
We don't sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. If you don't wish to receive marketing emails from us, please follow the directions presented within the email sent to you.
Use
Our primary purpose for collecting personal information is to provide you with an efficient and customized experience. You agree that we may use your personal information to:
- provide any products or services that you may purchase;
- provide any services and customer support you request;
- resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems;

We may share your score on the Getting Started or CrossTrain courses, only with persons in your organization who supervise you.
If you submit correspondence to the editor of BrainConnection, we may publish that correspondence on the brainconnection.com website unless the correspondence expressly instructs us not to publish it.
Cookies
We may use "cookies" (small files placed on your hard drive) on certain pages of the Sites to help analyze our web page flow, customize our services, and measure promotional effectiveness.

- We offer certain features that are only available through the use of cookies.

This privacy policy applies only to information collected by SLC through the Sites. It does not apply to any sites that may be linked to us. You should review the privacy policies of those sites before you disclose personal information on those sites.
