Focused and sustained attention provide the ability to concentrate on a task without being distracted. On average, Fast ForWord users showed improvements in attention.

Methodology

Before and after Fast ForWord participation, students were rated on the ADHD Rating Scale - IV.

Measures

The ADHD Rating Scale - IV is a checklist that can be filled in by parents or teachers. The attention checklist is linked directly to diagnostic criteria for ADHD and has a score that ranges from 0 (low attention) to 27 (high attention).

Data provided by school where assessment took place; school personnel were responsible for administering all tests and collecting all scores.
