Four Areas of Reform (ARRA 2009)

Scientific Learning products support the four areas of reform outlined by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act:

1. Making progress toward rigorous standards and high-quality assessments that are valid and reliable for all students, including English language learners and students with disabilities;

2. Building data systems to track progress and foster continuous improvement from Pre-K to college

  • Scientific Learning’s products are successfully implemented in Pre-K, K–12 and higher education, providing a progressive and systematic series of intervention products that integrate well with and support other school curriculum.
  • The Fast ForWord READING Series provides a wide range of skills development, from pre-reading skills to higher order skills like critical thinking and abstract reasoning.
  • Progress Tracker, our Internet-based data analysis and reporting tool, fits any school’s student progress tracking system, and its daily, detailed reports help foster continuous student improvement.

3. Making improvements in teacher effectiveness and in the equitable distribution of qualified teachers for all students, particularly students who are most in need;

4. Turning around the lowest-performing schools with intensive support and effective interventions
