This is a regular full-time exempt position reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management.
Position Summary
The Product Manager/Senior Product Manager will be responsible for delivering commercially successful products in the consumer, and on-demand market segments of Scientific Learning's award-winning family of products. She/he will provide strategic and tactical product leadership and ongoing support to product development, sales, service and marketing for the products she/he owns.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Define requirements and drive product development of our products in consumer, on-demand, and international market segments
- Own and manage pricing, cost and breakeven analysis, and revenue/earnings projections for his/her product
- Manage the entire product life cycle, from concepts to development to release
- Work with international VARs on international deployment requirements
- Coordinate multiple teams, resources and timelines to successfully ship and launch his/her products
- Work with Marketing on building awareness, generating lead, and increasing conversion for the consumer product
- Manage product roadmap and release plan for the products
- Develop screen mockups and wireframes, as needed
- Write epics and user stories according to Agile Development methodology
- Coordinate with Engineering on specifics of features
- Initiate and prioritize features and projects within engineering and QA, track product development, and develop product launch plans
- Engage closely with engineering team and assist in determining the best technical implementation methods
- Own the product metrics and responsibility for the ultimate success and growth of the product
- Maintain knowledge of the competitive and industry landscape
Requirements
- More than 3 years of product management experience, plus additional experiences in relevant industries or domain
- Experience in taking a product from concept to release, having worked as the Product Owner on a scrum-based software project
- Experience building on-demand or Software-as-a-Service product
- Product, Engineering, or other relevant experience in enterprise software, eLearning, educational software, gaming, or consumer internet.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail
- Passion for building a world-class, consumer-facing solution, and helping kids learn
- Outstanding creativity and drive; excellent written and oral communication skills
- Appreciation for different cultures and operating environments overseas, preferably from work or life experiences abroad
- Good presentation skills. Experience in presenting to a large audience, including at conferences
- BA/BS degree; Masters or MBA is a plus
