Inside Sales Representative

This is a regular full-time exempt position reporting to the Director of Inside Sales.

Position Summary

Inside Sales Representative works in assigned territories to generate revenue from small to mid size public and independent school districts around the country. Inside Sales Rep is responsible for meeting or over-achieving assigned sales objectives as outlined by the Director of Inside Sales. 

Detailed Responsibilities

The duties include:

  • Contacting key people in school districts in assigned territories to
    • Build and manage prospects on sales pipeline
    • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue objectives
  • Developing a territory plan, every quarter, to meet the requirements of Scientific Learning's  strategic sales objectives
  • Delivering WebEx presentations to Superintendents, Title I Directors, Reading and Special Ed, Teachers and others, as required, for high-level presentations regarding Scientific Learning's research based reading and language intervention products.
  • Making a minimum of 35-40 outbound dials, daily, to ensure effective productivity in territory
  • Making outbound calls into 25-30 strategic accounts every month
  • Uncovering opportunities from corporate marketing programs
  • Reporting on territory sales and lead activity to Director of Inside Sales using Salesforce.com as the primary repository of CRM sales information
  • Maintaining the highest level of professionalism, at all times

In addition to the duties listed above, Inside Sales Rep is responsible for assimilating product and market knowledge and effectively communicating the benefits, value proposition, and feature set of Scientific Learning's products to prospective customers.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • Three or more years working as an individual contributor (quota carrier) within an Inside or Outside Sales Organization, preferably selling educational software
  • Proven success breaking into school districts in the United States
  • Experience breaking into high-level contacts and uncovering prospects initiatives and needs
  • Highly motivated to over achieve on assigned quota's
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain focus and organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to articulate value proposition and technology, effectively, to prospects and customers
