About the Authors

Bill Jenkins, Ph.D.

Dr. Bill Jenkins is a recognized expert in learning-based brain plasticity, behavioral algorithms, and psychophysical methods, as well as multimedia and Internet technology.  Prior to co-founding Scientific Learning he was associate professor at the Keck Center for Integrative Neurosciences at the University of California – San Francisco.  

Sherrelle Walker, M.A.

Sherrelle Walker has more than 30 years experience in education as a teacher, principal, and district-level administrator.  She worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Washington, specializing in improving teacher impact in the classroom, and has served on the Executive Council of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), among several other boards in education. 

Martha Burns, Ph.D.

Dr. Martha Burns has been a practicing speech and language pathologist in Evanston, Illinois, for over 40 years, is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is an adjunct Associate Professor at Northwestern University. She has authored over 100 journal articles on the neuroscience of language and communication, has written three books on language difficulties associated with neurological disorders and authored a test entitled the Burns Brief Inventory of Communication and Cognition.
